Terms And Conditions

We recommend that each guest read these terms and conditions carefully prior to making or taking up a reservation with Barn 62 Pub and Backpackers, as they constitute the contract between the guest and the establishment.

Amendments

Management reserves the right to amend tariffs, terms and conditions, including rules of the establishment from time to time as deemed necessary, without prior notification.

Right of Admission Reserved

Management reserves the right to refuse any person entry to the premises and to refuse rental of any accommodation without any reason being given for such refusal.

Disclaimer Notice/Indemnity

Guest(s) make use of our establishment at their own risk. The property owner, proprietor, agents and/or its employee(s) shall not be liable for, and the guests hereby waive and abandon any claims of whatever nature including but not limited to that of theft, injury or damage of whatever nature, against the property owner, proprietor, agents and/or its employee(s) default, negligence or otherwise.The guest(s), in addition to the aforesaid, hereby indemnify the property owner, proprietor, agents and/or its employee(s) against any claims which may arise from whatever nature, whether arising from the property owner, the proprietor, agents and/or its employee(s) default, negligence or otherwise.

Companies and Groups

In the event that you are booking on behalf of a company or group of persons, it shall be your responsibility to ensure that all persons are covered by these terms and conditions and you hereby indemnify the property owner, proprietor, agents and/or its employee(s) against any claims that may arise from any of your members or invitees.

Reservations

The rates are on a per person per night basis, as indicated. No persons other than those quoted for, are permitted to share the accommodation. The proof of deposit or payment must be sent by email to barn62route62@webmail.co.za by the due date specified, in order to confirm a reservation. A reservation will only be confirmed once the proof of deposit/payment has been received. All accommodation provided in terms of any booking/reservation made with Barn 62 Pub and Backpackers will be subject to the terms and conditions specified.

Payment Details

Weekend and short-stay (two nights or less) reservations are to be paid in full upfront. For stays longer than two nights, the standard deposit will be one half (50%) of the amount due for the duration of the stay, with the balance payable upon arrival. The proof of payment or deposit is to be e-mailed to barn62route62@webmail.co.za in order to confirm a reservation. Banking details will be provided on the quotation/Invoice.

Cancellation Policy

Barn 62 Pub and Backpackers reserves the right to cancel any reservation without prior notice should the deposit or amount due not be paid by the due date. Reservations cancelled by guests up to and including seven (7) calender days prior to the arrival date will receive a full refund of the deposit amount. Deposits and payments are not refundable in the event of late cancellations, late arrivals or early departures or in the event of “no-shows”.

Arrivals

Guests may check in between 14:00 and 19:00pm. Late or early check-in is permitted provided it is arranged with management prior to arrival.

Non-Arrival/No-Show

A confirmed reservation will hold your accommodation for twelve (12) hours after check-in. Thereafter the accommodation will be re-assigned for occupation.

Departure

The accommodation must be vacated by 10:00am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged with management.

Termination of Occupancy

Barn 62 Pub and Backpackers shall evict a guest and retain any payment despite the eviction in the following instances: Disorderly conduct; Using the premises for unlawful purposes or acts; Brining personal property onto the premises that is illegal and/or dangerous to management and other guests; Failing to register as a guest; Using false pretences to obtain accommodation; Being a minor (under age of 18) unaccompanied by an adult registered guest; Causing damage to any property or harm to any animal, wildlife, birdlife or plant life on the premises. NO SMOKING, EATING OR DRINKING IS PERMITTED UPSTAIRS IN THE BACKPACKERS.

Pet Policy

Barn 62 Pub and Backpackers is a Pet Friendly establishment. Pet are welcome with prior arrangement and provided pets are controlled and well behaved (trained).

Washing of Vehicles

Vehicles may be washed with the permission of management, however no hoses may be used, only buckets.

Fires

Fires are to be made in the designated “braai drums” and nowhere else. Portable “braais” are permitted (and available) provided they are not a nuisance to other guests and do not constitute a fir hazard or damage the surrounding flora. No wood may be harvested or collected from the premises.

Fauna and Flora

Plant life may not be picked, cut, damaged or removed from the premises. No wildlife or birdlife of any kind may be harassed, hurt or hunted.

Children

Barn 62 Pub and Backpackers is a licensed pub and smoking venue. No children under the age of 18 is allowed in the pub area under any circumstances. Children under the age of 12 are to remain under parental supervision on the premises at all times.

Noise and Radios

Guests shall not cause a disturbance by any means such as screaming, shouting, loud radios/music, or allow it to be caused by any person in their company, be it by animal, machine, device, vehicle, apparatus or any combination thereof. Guests shall not discharge explosives, firearms or similar devises that emit any sound impulse or allow it to be used or discharged. Guests shall also not discharge fireworks on or within the premises.

Parking

Vehicles must be parked as indicated by management. No guest shall park, leave unattended vehicles, or store any caravan, boat, trailer, car, motorcycle or truck in any open area without the consent of management.

Ablutions

Water in the Klein Karoo is a most scarce resource!! Use water sparingly!!! Please do not flush any foreign objects such as sanitary pads, tampons, disposable nappies, condoms, cigarette buds etc., down the toilets. Use the bins provided. Smoking is NOT permitted in the ablutions. DO NOT ABUSE THE FACILITIES PROVIDED AND ENSURE THAT CHILDREN DO LIKEWISE.
